After a light sushi meal this evening, we went to our friends' house for some trivial pursuit. We played couple against couple and Luca and I got totally pwned.
Of course we are sure that the game was rigged so we're planning a rematch at our place.

'The last olive'
Luca and I have a very similar taste in food, which can be a very good thing when we have to choose a restaurant f.ex.
We both love olives, especially the big green ones. So it becomes a problem when we're sitting in a restaurant and there is only a tiny bowl with 7 olives in it!
Unfortunately that last olive mysteriously disappeared when Luca had to stand up from the table, oops!
sooo tired, it's 2am but I've finally caught up on the uploading. I was more than a week behind but now I'm up to date, yay! Flickr will have to wait until tomorrow though. Hope to catch up with commenting soon as well.

ok I admit it, I have really sunk to the bottom, I took a photo of the TV today and I'm actually posting it because I have nothing else.
Hold on! It does have a story though. Luca and I have been watching some nostalgic movies all week. We started with 80's geek movies such as 'Electric Dreams', 'Real Genius' and 'Explorers'. But somehow we ended up watching 'Diabolik' tonight which belongs to a totally different genre and now we've mixed up the whole system :)

My eye was drawn to this poor little guy sitting on the sidewalk all by his lonesome.
I just love the old cinquecento (500). It's just the cutest car ever. They are easily spotted and there are actually quite a few them still around here in Turin, the city of Fiat. Some are in beautiful condition, I once saw a white convertible one, driven by a couple of newlyweds. It was awesome, with the veil blowing in the wind. I wish I had a photo of that.

It was after 11pm and I was starting to sress out because I didn't have the photo yet. I saw that Luca had left his watch on the kitchen table so I grabbed it and stuck it in a cupboard with glass shelves. This idea and the composition could definitely be improved, if I ever had the time that is. I was just glad that I had a shot and could go to bed.

We went to Milan this Sunday to attend a furniture show. We had lots of fun getting ideas how to decorate the new place. But the show was huuuuge, we walked around for hours, taking notes and collecting business cards.
I took very few photos because there were 'no camera' signs everywhere. Luca doesn't get my 'obsession' for following rules, neither does any other Italian, as everyone was snapping away. So in the end I gave in to Luca's nagging and snapped a couple of photos.
The bed section was looking very tempting after a few hours.
The Electrolux department was pretty cool.
It still wasn't dark when we left so I couldn't see these cool balloons lights on the parking lot in action. 
We drove straight to a restaurant to meet up with friends. Here's Elisa the birthday girl with her man Andrea and the puppy I got her for her birthday. That puppy looks just like Elisa when she wants something, she really knows how to use those big brown eyes. Happy birthday Elisa!

We had some rain today, it was actually rather refreshing. Soon enough it will be too hot for my taste.

The weather has been awesome lately. I had to go down town for a job this afternoon, there were people everywhere enjoying the sun, oh it might also be because of the Santa Sindone (the Shroud of Turin). Believers from all over the world are here to see this greatly debated cloth. I really must find the time to go and see it, they only put it on show once a decade or so.
I think that all the souvenirs are rather funny though.

I've never been much of a salad person but Luca gets cranky if he doesn't get his vegs for a few days. I must admit though that I feel really good after after eating a dinner of (almost) only vegetables and fruit, especially after a few days of lots of heavy food.
It's obvious that I prepared this bowl because I've added so many things to hide the actual salad.

I helped a friend organizing a surprice baby shower for his wife. Baby showers are a new phenomenon here in Italy so it wasn't done the traditional way.
Because baby showers aren't common here in Italy, I thought it would be clever to make a diaper cake. I spent hours searching for the right "ingredients", looking for instructions online and putting the cake together and I was pretty proud of the results. The theme of the party was Hello Kitty as you can see.
...Then 3 other people showed up with diaper cakes!

We had such a blast last night. A few bottles of wine were consumed and after dinner the guitars were pulled out.
I've always dreamed about being able to play acoustic guitar but I had lessons for 7 years when I was younger and as a result I can only play classical music.

wow I can't believe that I've reached day 100! I didn't have anything special planned to shoot but we had some friends over for dinner and I prepared a bouquet of wild flowers as a centerpiece.

I had the day off last Friday. I met 3 of my girlfriends for sushi lunch down town and then strolled around for hours. The weather was amazing and the parks were filled with people enjoying the sun. mmmm I love spring!

It was such a lovely day, warm and sunny. But very busy so no time for photos. Luca and I were both working late so we met for dinner down town. I just love when it starts getting warm enough to dine out in the open and when you can stroll around after dark without a heavy winter coat.
I've been posting a lot of photos of Luca lately, I really want to improve my portraits and Luca is always happy to be the model, even when he's very tired :)
I'm also noticing a great difference with the new 1.4 lens.

I really love good wine, lucky me that I moved to Italy! I have a thing for the corks as well. We have a big fish bowl on the kitchen table where we throw the corks from every opened bottle. So far we have a pretty nice collection.
I had some problems with blogger a few days ago and then I was busy enjoying Easter so I'm catching up now with the last few days' posts.

Here in Italy, Easter Sunday is spent with family and Easter Monday is for friends. Normally with a big bbq party. We were really lucky with the weather, it was the warmest day yet this spring.
It was a great day, with good friends, bruschetta, grilled meat and lots of wine.

We had a lovely Ester Sunday with Luca's grandparents. Grandma Ines is an amazing cook. She always makes numerous dishes from scratch as is the old Italian style. And we always over eat and then fall asleep on the couch.
Luca liked his chocolate egg.
The weather was rather miserable, this is what the car looked like by the end of the day.

I spent the whole day doing a major spring/Easter cleaning. I even put up new curtains and a matching bedspread. It was dark when I was finally done so I just snapped a photo of Miss Pysja and Mr Lundi standing on the bed with the new curtains in the background.
Aren't they adorable. My sister brought them from Iceland, they are made of wool and can be used as egg warmers.

Another thing that I love is blue sky with fluffy white clouds. We had such a sky today.
