Day 304
Happy Halloween

Day 303
Luca and I went to one of our favourite restaurants. We had to wait a few minutes for our table so we went down to the cellar to choose our wine. This book made me think of my project and what I should do with the photos once it's finished

Day 302
Made a healthy meal. Something I should do more often

Day 301
These colourful birds sit on a low wall at the entrance of the school where I work. They must have been made by the kids at some point in the past. I like to think of them as representing the diversity of the children

Day 300
Hey you!

Day 208

July 27, 2010

A nice colorful souvenir from Mexico. I bargained for these bowls when Luca wasn't looking. I needn't have to worry about the extra weight because when we met up, he had just bought a chess set made from wood and bones, and it cost 10 times more then my little ceramic bowls.

After a light sushi meal this evening, we went to our friends' house for some trivial pursuit. We played couple against couple and Luca and I got totally pwned.
Of course we are sure that the game was rigged so we're planning a rematch at our place.

Day 90

March 31, 2010

We've had all sorts of weather lately. It is pretty normal for spring time around her. It gets warmer, then colder, then warmer again. One minute the sun is shining, the other it rains as if poured from a bucket.
At least the plants seem to be enjoying it. Today I noticed that my favourite plant is finally in bloom. I'm not sure about the name, my mother in law told me once but I've forgotten. I call them cherry trees, they look very similar, although these don't bear fruit.
After a month or so, these pretty pink flowers will be replaced by dark burgundy leaves.

These photos are for my mom, as she loves these trees as well, and I was actually talking with her on the phone when I took these.

Day 84

March 25, 2010

We're invited to a wedding in Mexico in July so we finally took an evening to search for a good flight. The best part is that we get to see all the Canadian family again. Talking about them made us remember something that the Canadian grandparents told us last time. "Every Friday night we mix up a nice highball and spend an evening together talking about the past and all the great memories of our life together".

I think that is such a great tradition and a wonderful exercise to keep your mind active. So we made a highball in their honour and talked about some of the great memories we have made in the last seven years and the possibilities of so many more in the future.

oh and I picked up a bunch of lilies at the market. I just love to buy unopened buds and then wake up to find a pretty flower the next day.

Day 83

I've reached another breaking point in the project. I've been so busy lately that I can hardly find time to snap one photo and now I'm a few days behind on uploading.

March 24, 2010

I finally had a little free time this afternoon so I went out to get a few spring photos.
