When kids start preschool here in Italy, they're supposed to bring specific checkered bags with their names on. When my friend told me that she was going to use a felt tip pen I begged her to let me embroider it.

Got some yummy homemade jams from Nonna Ines today.

This tube is very important to me. It means that I'll be able to put the washing machine exactly where I wanted. The plumber wasn't sure about the draining at first.

The work goes on, slowly but steadily, even the little things. The appartment was originally two smaller appartments, so we've got 2 letter boxes. Which is useful when you've got a very long surname :)

Our favourite local pizzeria has become an important part of the renovation. Whenever we have something to discuss we go over there and discuss while enjoying a great pizza and and a glass of white wine.

The demolition went really well. The appartment has now been stripped of all flooring, bathrooms emptied, a couple of walls knocked down and all doors have been removed.

We might have to wait another week or two for the next job to start.

The work is going well. The workers have already removed much of the flooring and knocked down a couple of walls. I'm taking photos every day to document the progress.
