Daffodils are a little reminder that spring and Easter is almost here. Their name in Icelandic is Easter lily, although in Iceland they often bloom long after Easter.
it was in Eyjafjallajökull, in a place called Fimmvörðuháls! It's a really popular walking route ;) there has been no harm in people nor animals! nothing worse has happened yet. this is a pretty small eruption but it could lead to a big eruption in Katla! if that will happen it will be a bomb eruption (sprengigos), but the eruption is still steady, and you can see all about it at www.mbl.is or www.ruv.is ;) -andrea
yes and it has been quite steady since it began, but there are two new crack (;) has opened, the second one opened while people were still on the glacier ;) -andrea
My name is Solveig, I'm an Icelander living in Italy. I'm rather new to photography so I've created this blog to document my "project365". A project that I have decided to take on for the year 2010 to help improve my photography skills and learn to use my camera. I use a Canon 450D (Digital Rebel XSi)
I just love these pretty flowers. They are so springlike.
I was thinking about you, today, when I read about the volcano eruption in Iceland. Do you know where it was? I hope your family is well.
